The flagship product is the budget
preparation system - Budget Analysis and Reporting System (BARS), which is
used by elected officials (legislators, supervisors, controllers, etc.)
and budget officers. The product has been designated by the state
marketplace as the 'de facto standard' for state budget preparation
systems. This is evident in the 20 percent market share enjoyed by
AGS in this market. Last year over $100 Billion was budgeted using
AGS software.
Our first project for the Budget system was
designed and developed for the State of North Dakota. The Statewide
Integrated Budget and Reporting (SIBR) System was implemented in 1996.
This system became the foundation of our current BARS product.
Delivery of the budget preparation solution
has been accomplished by using skilled internal personnel, and through key
alliances with PeopleSoft, Andersen Consulting, Oracle and SAP.
In addition to the popular budget
preparation system, AGS has developed an e-commerce solution for public
sector entities that provide licenses to individuals. The first
deployment of the AGS e-commerce internet licensing system was in the
State of North Dakota for hunting and fishing licenses. The product
will be expanded to meet a variety of licensing and certification needs.
